Every one dollar invested in WASH yields benefits of an average four dollars, due to its impact across multiple sectors

Safe water, sanitation and hygiene forms a prerequisite for an environment that fosters inclusive growth and human development, and a robust body of evidence highlights the underlying centrality of WASH within the global development agendas.

With the vision to ensure that everyone, everywhere has safe drinking water, a hygienic toilet, and practices good hygiene, we deliver services to people living in hard-to-reach and underserved urban areas, including secondary schools. We follow a multidimensional approach ranging from developing WASH markets to building partnerships with local governments for improving solid and faecal waste management.

IMPACT

  • BRAC WASH in Bangladesh has succeeded in reaching more than twice as many ultra poor people with sustained use of hygienic sanitation than it had even targeted in ambitious plans. These results are beyond excellent.
