Bangladesh is the world’s seventh most climate-vulnerable country. Many of its most climate-vulnerable regions are also quickly becoming its poorest.
Households in the most climate-vulnerable areas of the country are now spending up to half of their incomes on climate disasters. We focus on supporting communities to strengthen their resilience and ability to adapt to an increasingly unpredictable climate. Our network of climate adaptation clinics act as a one-stop service centres for farmers to get information, access high-quality inputs, and use services like crop storage.
As climate impacts disrupt access to basic services like water, we work with households and communities to scale locally-led solutions like rain water harvesting systems. We promote nature-based solutions, and work with communities to scale initiatives like agroforestry and afforestation - and our climate information services deliver actionable climate information that reaches farmers.

We must prioritise locally-led solutions that can catalyse sustainable economic growth. Experience demonstrates that effective solutions emerge when communities themselves identify the challenges they are facing and co-create solutions for them.”
