Thanks to the support and contributions of generous friends like you, the $5 million that BRAC sought for Cyclone Sidr emergency relief has been pledged or contributed. But there is much more work to be done. BRAC needs to raise an additional $15 million achieve its goal to mobilize resources for emergency livelihood support for 150,000 families.

Your contribution will go a long way in rehabilitating the families affected by in Bangladesh. For example:

• Every $15 donated will to provide a family with seeds, poultry, fish fry and other kinds of inputs needed so that they can begin working again.

• Every $120 donated will rebuild a fully destroyed primary school, helping reopen its doors to over 30 children.

• Every $1,000 donated will replace a broken deep tube well necessary to provide an entire village with clean water.
