About BRAC Liberia:
BRAC has launched a $15 million poverty alleviation initiative in post-conflict Sierra Leone and Liberia in partnership with the Soros Economic Development Fund, Open Society Institute West Africa, Omidyar Network, and Humanity United. 

Microfinance:
Disbursement commenced June, 2009
The program covers a population of 242,557 over 7 districts and 4 counties 
BRAC has mobilized 160 microfinance groups with 3604 members

Health:
200 community health workers have been trained
The program has conducted 1889 health meetings

Agriculture, Poultry, and Livestock: 
The programs are covering a population of 173,263
Almost 800 farmers have been selected

BRAC registered in Liberia in 2008 and will begin programs there in early 2009.
