Mr KAM Morshed leads BRAC’s advocacy, technology and partnership teams. He is responsible for effective delivery on BRAC’s policy portfolio and spearheading technology adaptation. He is also responsible for fostering BRAC-Government of Bangladesh partnership.
Having received both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from the Department of Finance and Banking of the University of Dhaka, he established the country’s first GIS and data visualisation company. Later, in 1998, he joined his alma mater as a teacher, teaching MIS and public/development finance.
Before joining BRAC in October 2015, Mr Morshed led Bangladesh’s Policy, Innovation and Communication teams at UNDP for over a decade.
Mr Morshed assisted in the formulation of national policies such as the e-Payment Policy (2005), Bangladesh ICT Policy (2005, 2010 and 2015), PPP Policy (2010), Bangladesh Social Safety Net Policy (2015), 6th Five Year Plan (2011-2016), and 7th Five Year Plan (2016-2020).
