| Delegates from DFID Media Team visit BRAC | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
On August 22, 2005 members of the DFID media team visited various BRAC programmes. The objectives of the team’s visit were to widen their breadth of knowledge and understanding of BRAC’s work in the rural level by interviewing some beneficiaries and talking photographs. The team visited a Non-Formal Primary school in Dergram where they observe different teaching and learning styles and interacted with the students. The Team interviewed Sonia, a BRAC student and her mother in order to capture an account of Sonia’s daily life. The team also visited a Government Primary School and a private Secondary High School at Nobogram, Manikganj where they interviewed two former BRAC primary school students- Shewli and Farida of class 8 and class 10 respectively. Shewli and Farida graduated from BRAC Primary School and are achieving excellent grades at the Secondary High School. Last year they ranked first in their respective classes. The DFID media team interviewed the two girls regarding their experience at both the schools and their future plans for further education. Rebacca Terzeon, Deputy Head, Director’s Cabinet DFID London; Amanda Kemp, Senior Press officer; DFID London and Milon Khan, Communications Manager, DFID Bangladesh and Babu Ahmed, Freelance photographer were all accompanied by Fariduzzaman Rana, BRAC Communications Officer, BRAC Public Affairs and Communications. |
