Members
of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, namely Mr. Rajiv J. Shah,
MD, Deputy Director, Strategic Opportunities and Ms. Priya Jaisinghani,
Consultant, Strategic Opportunities and Evaluation visited BRAC programmes
in Manikganj on August 4. The team, accompanied by Dr. AMR Chowdhury,
Deputy Executive Director, BRAC, Mr. Fariduzzaman Rana, Communications
Officer, BRAC Public Affairs and Communications, observed BRAC’s
Microfinance programme, Health forum, TB control and Antenatal care,
Income generating activities, Human Rights and Legal Education Class
and BRAC Primary school. They also visited a Sanitation material production
centre, a TB Clinic and the Ayesha Abed Foundation. |
