Skills Training for Advancing Resources (STAR) is an on-the-job apprenticeship model that equips underprivileged youth with the skills that employers need. It operates at scale, and has graduated more than 28,000 apprentices, reducing early marriage and substantially increasing incomes. Young learners train under master crafts persons in 25 different demand-driven trades. After graduating, 95% continue in employment or become entrepreneurs.
