A ground-level intervention can have a larger impact if scaled through policy change.
Inherent policy gaps and poor execution create challenges to drive social impact. Minority groups and people living in hard-to-reach areas often remain excluded from the benefits of policies. Systemic changes require close collaboration with institutions from the government, private and civil societies.
We scale BRAC’s impact through policy reforms. We have a three-pronged approach: a) proactively advocate for strategic public policy reform in cross-cutting areas b) facilitate policy interventions by programme units, and c) design tools for effective person-to-person advocacy. We do evidence-based policy analysis, build coalitions of the willing, facilitate public discourse, and offer policy alternatives to relevant agencies.

We are working towards creating an inclusive and caring society. BRAC Advocacy for Social Change has also taken initiatives to ensure accessibility of persons with disabilities in launch terminals. We have already issued a circular for all the terminals. We appreciate and congratulate them for their effort.
Accessibility of persons with disabilities is a basic human right, and it is commendable that BRAC Advocacy is working with us in ensuring this. We appreciate BRAC’s commitment.
We appreciate what BRAC Advocacy for Social Change is doing to ensure accessibility of persons with disabilities. Generally we tend to overlook this issue in most of the cases but it is an important step for an inclusive society.
