Tim Evans, of Canada, has a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Ottawa and a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Oxford, as well as Doctor of Medicine from McMaster University in Canada. He trained in internal medicine at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard University. He was an assistant professor of international health economics at the Harvard School of Public Health, and most recently served as the Director of Health Equity at the Rockefeller Foundation from 1997 to 2003.

He is currently an Assistant Director-General at the World Health Organization, Geneva, Switzerland.
