Iodised Salt

BRAC Salt Industries was initiated in 2004 to respond to a public health need – the lack of iodised salt in the country. In 2008, it produced 11,283 metric tonnes of salt.

Sanitary Napkins and Birthing Kits

The BRAC Sanitary Napkin & Sterilised Delivery Kit production centre was set up in 1999 to help satisfy the public health needs of the rural women in Bangladesh. The aim is to increase hygienic behaviour among women through a combination of affordable products and the assistance of our female health promoters, health workers, and adolescent leaders.
