Plant biotechnology laboratory
Our plant biotechnology laboratory produces disease-free plantlets of various crops through tissue culture through rapid laboratory multiplication. The laboratory is equipped with 6 green houses for preparing the in-vitro plantlets before distributing the seedlings to the field. At present, the laboratory is being used for producing plantlets of potato, banana, medicinal plants, fruits and ornamental plants like flowers and cacti.
 

Soil testing laboratory
We updated our agriculture services in 2000 through the establishment of a modern soil-testing laboratory, with a capacity of testing around 3,000 soil samples per year, at Gazipur. The laboratory’s main purpose is to provide fertiliser prescription for crops grown by local farmers. With this service, it is possible to increase and maintain the productivity of land in a sustainable and economic manner. In this laboratory, farmers have easy access to test their soil samples for an affordable charge.
