  • Mitigating Monga: ‘Monga’ is a popular phrase for the time period of October November where farmers face starvation due to unemployment as rice is not grown. To combat the extremities of Monga BRAC has popularized a different cropping pattern. Read more
     
  • Combating climate threats on food security: Adverse changes in climate threaten food production in the near future. We carry out research to find crops which can sustain the rise in water levels and temperature. Read more

Producing the seeds: Quality inputs are a must in our drive to become self sufficient. Unfortunately there is a gap in the demand and availability of quality seeds. We produce seeds on a national scale to fill the gap. Read more
 

Transferring technology knowledge to farmers- Agriculture extension: Farmers are not aware of the latest in farming techniques, multiple cropping techniques and how to get the best out of their farmers.  To help them do that, we transfer knowledge through our agriculture extension programme.
